Ask any man about women crying during sex and you”ll get a strange reaction.
First, there’s The Blank Stare ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ they have no idea what you’re talking about.
Then there’s the silence, which lasts, and lasts enough time for you to rethink the three glasses of champagne you had before you brought up the damn topic.
Just as you’re planning an escape route, he gives you this look ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ like you’ve somehow seen into his bedroom, circa high school. HeÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s astounded. ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œOnce,ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â he says. Or maybe “Yeah, twice, it was weird.”
The confusion is palpable. He still has no idea what happened.
I swear, IÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢ve had the exact same conversation with dozens of guys ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ all ages, all types. Sometimes I try to piece together the story.
Me: ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œWhat did you do after she started crying?ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â
Him: ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œNothing. I just lay there.ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â
Me: ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œumm ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â¦ okay. Did she say anything?ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â
Him: ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œYep, she rolled over and said, ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‹Å“I love you.ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â
