  • How Older Men Should Flirt & Tease with Younger Women

How Older Men Should Flirt & Tease with Younger Women

Most older men completely misunderstand flirting with younger women.

    They either:

    • Try to act younger than they are
    • Over-compliment
    • Play it safe
    • Or they get stiff, serious, and boring

And all these four kill attraction.

Here’s the truth most guys don’t want to hear: Younger women are not turned off by your age.

They’re turned off by neediness, try-hard energy, and insecurity disguised as “being nice.”

The men younger women actually flirt back with… are calm, playful, grounded, and completely unfazed.

    They tease without being rude.

They flirt without trying to impress.

They create sexual tension without chasing.

And that’s exactly what I’m going to show you how to do:

    • Not lines.
    • Not gimmicks.
    • And definitely not negging — that’s for kids.

    I’m going to break down:

    • How to be fun, sarcastic, and cheeky without being goofy
    • How to tease in a way that makes her lean in, not pull away
    • And how to flirt in a way that makes her start chasing you
    • How high-status men use humor and sexual innuendo to create sexual attraction effortlessly
    • And how to turn the conversation sexual without being creepy.

Once you understand this, flirting stops feeling forced…and starts feeling natural.

    1. Let’s Talk About Teasing

Here’s how to tease her properly, especially if you are an older guy. (no backhanded compliments that’s for kids).  You’re teasing behavior, not attacking identity.

This creates attraction because it shows her that you aren’t playing it safe. That you are okay to rock the boat and even lose her. You’re relaxed enough to play with her a little.

Make sure to give a cheeky smirk or smile, as you say it so your voice sounds positive.

    Examples:

    • “Wow… you say that like someone who’s used to getting her way.”
    • “You’re trouble. I can tell already.”
    • She tells you an embarrassing story, “You’re way too proud of that story. I’m judging you a little.”
    • “You’re definitely the ‘shows up late and blames traffic’ type.”
    • “You’re cute when you’re trying to be serious.”
    • “I bet you were sent to detention a lot as a kid”

    2. If you are an older guy then you need to start using self deprecating humor, where you joke about yourself from a place of confidence, not insecurity.

This works because it shows self-ownership. Men who are comfortable with themselves feel safe and attractive.

    Examples:

    • “Careful, I have a reputation for saying the wrong thing at the right time.”
    • “I try to be mysterious, but honestly I’m just bad at small talk.”
    • “I look calm, but internally I’m choosing the least awkward response.”
    • “I’m at that age where I stretch before sitting down. It’s a lifestyle.”
    • “I’d pretend I’m cooler than I am, but you’d see through it in five minutes.”

Also, imagine this, you are wearing a blazer and looking like you own the place and then she asks you what your job is and you say “I work at McDonalds”.

She will laugh and instantly know that you are not the type of man that needs to impress women, which implies you must have a ton of women in your life.

Especially if you have an impress job, she just opened the front door for you to impress her and instead you said “Nah I don’t need to impress you, I already know I’m the fucking man!”

And that’s the attitude that truly high status and high self worth men have. And that’s sexy to women.

    3. If you want to turn things sexual then start using Playful sexual framing

Misinterpreting things she says as her wanting to get into your pants through.

    The rule:

You assume sexual desire playfully, then smile it off.
If she pushes back, you laugh and let it go.

    Why this works:

    You’re not asking permission.
You’re testing chemistry lightly, then backing off.

    Examples:

    • Her: “I’m really into fitness.”
You: “Ohhh, so you’re saying you like a man with stamina. Good to know.”
    • Her: “I need to go to bed”
You: “Thank you for the invite but you have to try hard than that”
    • Her: “I’m kind of spontaneous.”
You: “That’s code for you make a lot of bad decisions, isn’t it?”
    • Her: “Try my drink it’s really good”
You: “I know you are just trying to get me drunk so you can have your way with me. You’re so bad.”

    4. You need to start using sexual innuendos. Think of it like flirting James Bond style.

He makes sexual undertones seem totally innocent.

What you want is plausible deniability + playful framing, not crude sexual talk.

    Examples:

    • Her: “I’m really bad at following instructions.”
You: “That’s interesting… because you’re saying it like you want me to test that.”
    • Her: laughs “That’s not what I meant.”
You: “Of course not. I just have a very creative imagination.”
    • Her: “I need more space in my apartment.”
You: “Careful… that sounded like an invitation.”
    • Her: “Wow, you took that far.”
      You: “I said sounded. I didn’t say I’d misbehave.”
    • Her: “I’m usually up late.”
You: “You say that very casually.”
    • Her: “Is that bad?”
      You: “Not bad. Just… revealing.”

    Final Thoughts

If you are an older man, then at some point she’s going to ask your age, and you can’t freak out or sound uncertain, so if you want to know what to say if she asks you how old you are, then make sure to watch this video right here, where I show you exactly how to handle it like a boss!

  • How to Keep a Conversation Going on Dating Apps

How to Keep a Conversation Going on Dating Apps

Getting ghosted usually isn’t about you being unlikable, it’s about the conversation losing momentum too soon. The good news: small, intentional shifts in how you message can keep a match engaged long enough to move from chat to a real date.

Two smartphones with heart and chat bubble icons on a candlelit table — how to keep a conversation going on dating appsTwo smartphones with heart and chat bubble icons on a candlelit table — how to keep a conversation going on dating apps
The right message at the right time can turn a match into a real conversation – and a real date.

Why Do Dating App Conversations Die?

Before fixing the problem, it helps to understand why it happens. Most ghosting comes down to one of four reasons:

    • The conversation feels like a job interview (too many questions, not enough warmth)
    • One person is waiting for the other to lead
    • There’s no emotional hook: nothing memorable to come back to
    • Life gets busy and the chat gets buried under dozens of others

Research in conversation engagement shows that people feel more connected when they experience what’s called “responsiveness” , feeling understood, valued, and cared about. If your messages don’t create that feeling, the conversation fades, even if the person was initially interested.

What Actually Keeps a Conversation Going

    1. Lead with curiosity, not interrogation

There’s a big difference between “What do you do?” and “You mentioned you love cooking, what’s the last thing you made that actually impressed you?” The second one invites a real story, not a one-word answer.

People respond to questions that let them share something they’re proud of or passionate about. This is tied to the self-disclosure principle, where sharing personal details creates a sense of closeness.

    2. Give them something to respond to

If every message ends with a question, the other person carries all the weight. Try sharing something about yourself first: a short observation, a funny moment from your day, an opinion. Then invite their take.

    Example:

    • “I just tried a café that had oat milk lavender lattes and honestly I don’t know how to feel about it. Are you a ‘weird drink combo’ person or a classic order person?”

This kind of message is low-pressure and easy to reply to, which is exactly what you want.

    3. Match their energy and pace

If someone sends short, casual messages, long paragraphs can feel overwhelming. If they’re detailed and expressive, one-word replies may seem dismissive. Mirroring the other person’s communication style, known as linguistic mirroring  builds rapport naturally and makes the conversation feel balanced.

    4. Don’t let good conversations stall

If a chat goes quiet after a good exchange, it’s okay to bring it back.

    A simple message like

    • “Hey, I was thinking about what you said about [topic] , I finally looked it up and you were right” shows you were paying attention. That kind of follow-up is memorable and rare.

    5. Move toward something real, gently

Conversations that have no direction eventually lose energy. After a few good exchanges, it’s natural to suggest meeting. You don’t need a grand plan, something low-key works well: “I feel like we’d have a good time grabbing coffee. Want to find a time that works?”

The goal isn’t to rush things. It’s to give the connection somewhere to go.

What If They’re Just Not Responding?

Sometimes the silence isn’t about the conversation, it’s about timing. People get busy, distracted, or overwhelmed with their inbox.

One gentle follow-up after 2–3 days is completely reasonable. Keep it light:

    • “Hey, got busy over here, hope you’re having a good week!”

If they don’t respond after that, it’s okay to let it go. Protecting your energy matters too.

Persistent messaging after silence often has the opposite effect. Studies on reactance theory suggest that feeling pressured to respond makes people pull away, not lean in.

    A Quick Note on Timing

Timing matters more than most people think. Replying within a few hours (when you can) keeps momentum alive. A conversation that stretches over days with long silences loses the “spark” feeling—not because either person did something wrong, but because emotional connection needs regular feeding in the early stages.

This is rooted in the principle of Continuous Reinforcement. In the beginning, consistent and predictable interactions build trust and “reward” the other person for reaching out. While sporadic contact can create an anxious “hook,” it is steady, positive reinforcement that builds a genuine, secure sense of interest and momentum.

    Quick Summary

    • Most ghosting is about momentum, not rejection
    • Ask questions that invite real stories, not one-word answers
    • Share something about yourself, don’t make it one-sided
    • Match the other person’s energy and pace
    • Follow up on things they said, it shows you were listening
    • Gently move toward meeting after a few good exchanges
    • One polite follow-up after silence is fine; two is the limit

Good conversations don’t just happen, they’re built, bit by bit, by two people who feel safe enough to show up. The shifts above aren’t tricks; they’re just ways to make that easier for both sides.

  • The Cost of Staying Quiet When You Need to Speak Up – Last First Date

The Cost of Staying Quiet When You Need to Speak Up – Last First Date

Posted by in communication skills in dating | 0 comments

cost of staying quietcost of staying quiet

When you need to speak up, the cost of staying quiet is greater than the risk of getting hurt. Here are five reasons why this is true.

    —

There is a woman I think about often. She had been seeing someone for four months. She wanted to know where things were headed, whether he was still dating other people, and whether he saw a future with her. Every time she thought about bringing it up, she found a reason to wait. He was in a good mood, and she didn’t want to change that. Or he seemed stressed about work, so the timing felt off. Or things were going so well that she convinced herself she didn’t need to ask at all.

Four months into the relationship, she found out he had been seeing someone else the entire time. The conversation she kept postponing had cost her four months of emotional investment and the chance to make a clear-eyed decision about her own life.

I hear versions of her story every single week. The details change, but the pattern is the same: we go quiet about the things that matter most, and we pay a price for it.

If you’ve been putting off a conversation you know you need to have, here are five ways that silence may already be affecting you.

    1. Staying Quiet Puts Someone Else in Charge of Your Love Life

When you hold back from expressing what you want, you hand the decision-making over to the other person by default. They set the pace. They determine the terms. They decide when and whether to even have the conversations that would actually clarify things.

Speaking up is how you participate as an equal in your own relationship. Every time you say what you need clearly and directly, you’re showing up as a full partner rather than someone waiting to see what happens next.

    2. Unspoken Resentment Can Surface

When something bothers us and we keep it to ourselves, it doesn’t simply go away. The frustration tends to accumulate quietly, often in ways we don’t immediately notice. A small irritation becomes a pattern. A pattern becomes a grievance. Eventually it comes out sideways, through a tone of voice or a reaction that feels out of proportion to the moment, or through a long overdue blowup that blindsides the other person.

Addressing something while it’s still manageable is far easier than trying to untangle months of built-up tension. The earlier the conversation, the lower the emotional stakes.

    3. Avoiding a Conversation Teaches Your Nervous System You Can’t Cope

This is something most people don’t realize: every time you sidestep a difficult conversation, you’re teaching yourself that the conversation is too dangerous to have, that you won’t be able to handle it, and that staying quiet is the only safe option.

Over time, avoidance becomes self-reinforcing. The anxiety around certain conversations grows, and the conversations feel increasingly impossible. Working through a hard conversation, even imperfectly, teaches your nervous system something very different: that you can handle difficulty, that you can stay in a hard moment and come out the other side.

    4. Silence Can Make a Good Relationship Feel Distant

Genuine intimacy requires honesty. When we consistently hold back what we really think or feel or need, we create a version of ourselves for our partner that isn’t quite authentic. The relationship may feel okay on the surface, but there’s a glass wall between you.

The couples and partners who feel truly close to each other are usually the ones who have learned to talk about hard things. Vulnerability builds connection in a way that surface-level pleasantness simply cannot. Real closeness comes from being known, and being known requires telling the truth.

    5. The Conversation You Avoid Today Often Becomes a Harder One Tomorrow

Delayed conversations rarely get easier with time. A question about exclusivity that goes unasked at month two becomes a much harder conversation at month six. A boundary that wasn’t set early in a relationship can feel almost impossible to introduce later.

There is a version of almost every difficult conversation that is easier to have now than it will be in three months. The window for low-stakes honesty is usually shorter than we think.

Speaking up is an act of self-respect. When you say what you truly think and need, you give the other person the chance to meet you where you are. And you give yourself the chance to find out whether they can.

If this has brought a particular conversation to mind, one you’ve been putting off for a while, you’re not alone. These skills are learnable. Having hard conversations is something you can practice and get better at, and the payoff in your relationships is exponential.

  • She Thinks Doc Has a Teenager’s Mind — But She Proves His Point | Doc Love

She Thinks Doc Has a Teenager’s Mind — But She Proves His Point | Doc Love

DOC’S SYSTEM WAS CREATED BASED ON THOUSANDS OF INTERVIEWS WITH WOMEN – WHAT HE LEARNED FROM WOMEN IS TAUGHT TO YOU WEEKLY HERE.

THE KEY LINE – DOC BREAKS IT DOWN VIA THE SYSTEM:
…I am thoroughly convinced that you have the mind of a fourteen-year old boy.

Your column and your so-called “System” are an attempt to teach men how to play mind games and manipulate women. And any guy who is using some kind of rule book or strategy to try to win me over, may actually make it to a second date, but I can guarantee you that he won’t make it to my bedroom.

    READ ON…

    Hi Doc,

Now that I’ve read several of your advice columns, I am thoroughly convinced that you have the mind of a fourteen-year old boy.

Your column and your so-called “System” are an attempt to teach men how to play mind games and manipulate women. And any guy who is using some kind of rule book or strategy to try to win me over, may actually make it to a second date, but I can guarantee you that he won’t make it to my bedroom.

The advice you should be giving men is to simply be honest and be themselves. Men don’t need to act aloof or unavailable to get women to like them. The truth is that women like to know up front whether a guy is interested, and they certainly don’t want a guy to wait a week before he calls, which is what you advocate. Have you actually talked to any of these thousands of women whom you claim to have interviewed? I doubt it.

What you’re doing, Doc Love, is trying to convince guys to act like jerks because they’ve been rejected once or twice. That’s never going to help them find a woman who will truly make them happy.

You’re obviously trying to gain popularity by being politically incorrect, which is apparently the hip thing to do theses days. But you’re only exacerbating the misunderstandings between men and women.

You shouldn’t be giving love advice until you start asking us women what we want instead of telling men what you think we want. If you actually had been interviewing real women, and then you’d know that all that women really want, is a nice guy who is sincere.

    Hi Reva,

    Did I hit a nerve?

Allow me to tell you about a guy I’ve recently met, named Barney. Barney is a Macho Boy. When he takes a woman out on a first date, he intermittently stares at her breasts throughout the evening. He also has a habit of complaining about his ex wife in the middle of the dinner conversation. And he can’t seem to keep himself from touching his date’s arm too much. Every girl, who goes out with Barney, winds up feeling extremely uncomfortable and never wants to hear from him again. Yet Barney is baffled as to why he never gets a second date.

Barney’s buddy, Frank, is different from Barney. Frank is what I call a Teddy Bear Guy. He always brings a bouquet of flowers for the girl on their first date. He also thinks that if he shares all the disappointments that he’s experienced in relationships and life, that his date will respect him for being ‘honest’ and ‘willing to share his feelings’ and that that will make her more attracted to him. At the end of the evening, he usually says to his date: “I really like you. Do you like me?” Frank doesn’t get many second dates either.

So Reva, I’ve got a few questions for you. Shall we simply encourage Barney and Frank to continue to “be themselves?” Could it be possible that they might benefit from some coaching? If I educate Barney and Frank about the error of their ways and they change their behavior in order to become more successful with women, would I then be turning them into a manipulative phonies? And would you deny Barney and Frank the opportunity to improve themselves? Should all those guys, who are chronically making outrageous blunders with women, continue to just “be themselves?”

If you aren’t ready for THE SYSTEM – why not download Doc’s FREE 7-day dating course and take Doc’s principles for a test drive?

Curiously Reva, it’s often the same women who complain about men being manipulative when they try new things to be successful with women, who are rushing off to the newsstand to get the latest edition of Cosmopolitan or Self magazine, to learn: “Five Sure Fire Ways To Get Him To Commit”, or “Seven Secret Psychic Strategies To Make Him Fall Helplessly In Love With You.” Do you ever read women’s magazines Reva?

It seems that when a woman studies to enhance her relationships, its called “self improvement.” But when a man takes the initiative to get some coaching to improve his love life, he’s condemned for being “dishonest” and “manipulative.” Hmm…

The way that I found out what women actually desire in a man, was not to ask them what they “want”. (If you ask women what they “want” they come up with misleading doublespeak just as you have Reva.) The truth is revealed when I quiz them about the character traits of the men with whom they actually wind up staying with in a relationship. In the vast majority of cases, what we discover, is that the man who makes the grade, is the man who made the woman, (either naturally or by design) feel as if she had to work somehow to win him over. She had to wait and wonder awhile about where she stood with him and so she found him mysterious and compelling and ultimately, worthy of her affections.

I’m not saying that a guy needs to be a mysterious when he’s been married for ten years. But in the first 60 days of courtship, it’s imperative.

I’ll tell you, Reva, if you were to meet two different guys at an afternoon barbecue whom you both had 70% Interest Level in, and guy number one called you later that night and told you how much he cared for you, your Interest Level in him would very quickly sink to 60%. Why? Too much, too fast.

But if guy number two waited a week to call you and simply asked you out in a gentlemanly fashion, by the time he called, your Interest Level in him would have risen to 75%. You would find yourself involuntarily responding positively to guy number two in contrast to guy number one, because guy number two was less anxious, more mysterious and more of a Challenge.

The truth Reva, is that Macho Boy, the pushy, inconsiderate jerk, is not going to get anywhere with any woman, at least not any woman who is clinically sane. But Teddy Bear Guy (wimpus Americanus) is not going to get very far by being too available and too eager to please either.

Too many good men are losing out on having healthy relationships with wonderful women, only because they’ve never had proper coaching. They don’t know that their job on a first date is to keep things light, keep their hands to themselves, be a good listener and make their date feel comfortable. And above all, control the interview.

Men also don’t know that they’re blowing it when they give a woman fifteen different compliments on the first date or when they propose marriage on the fourth date. They’re fundamentally good guys, but they just don’t know any better. That’s where I come in, and I know I’m helping a lot of guys because of the hundreds of grateful testimonial letters I receive each month.

Remember guys: The man who is a gentleman and a Challenge keeps the woman.

  • Dating Coach Guildford : Why Singles Get It So Wrong

Dating Coach Guildford : Why Singles Get It So Wrong

Guildford has no shortage of attractive, accomplished, interesting people. That is partly why dating there can feel so baffling. You can sit in a nice bar, have a decent conversation, swap numbers with someone who seems promising, and still end up back where you started a week later, wondering how a city full of possibility can produce so much romantic admin and so little progress.

That is where Dating Coach Guildford services can make a real difference.

    Key Takeaways

    • Dating in Guildford is difficult because many singles are burnt out by app fatigue, mixed signals, poor communication, and repeatedly choosing people who are not ready for a relationship.
    • This post shows how coaching helps you fix the weak points in your dating life, from confidence and profile problems to first dates and follow-up messages.
    • The practical takeaway is simple: stop relying on guesswork and get expert feedback on how you come across, who you choose, and what you do next.
    • This is for busy professionals, newly single people, and anyone in Guildford who wants a calmer, sharper, more successful route to finding love.

Guildford looks ideal for dating. That is part of the problem.

Guildford has the sort of setting people assume should make dating easy. It has lively restaurants, polished professionals, cosy pubs, and enough stylish social spots to make a first date look very promising on paper. Yet looking promising and actually going somewhere are very different things.

A lot of singles here are doing well in every area except love. They are clever, warm, funny, successful, and perfectly capable of holding a conversation. But they are also tired. Tired of dates that flatter to deceive. Tired of people who chat brilliantly and disappear. Tired of investing energy in people who turn out to be emotionally unavailable, commitment-phobic, or just deeply average beneath a confident exterior.

That is why I do the work I do.

I am James Preece, the UK’s leading Dating Coach and Dating Expert. I have worked in the dating industry for over 21 years and with more than 50 dating companies, and I coach singles around the world as well as across the UK. My clients come to me because they want more than encouragement. They want results, honesty, and a proper plan.

Who usually needs dating coaching in Guildford?

Not the people who are happily loved-up, obviously. Everyone else is fair game.

The people who tend to benefit most are professionals with packed schedules, divorcees trying to rebuild confidence, people returning to dating after years away, and singles who are outwardly successful but inwardly wondering why every romantic situation turns into an unexpected episode of chaos.

If you have searched for Dating Coach Guildford, chances are you are trying to solve one of these pain points:

    • You keep attracting people who waste your time
    • Your dating profile is not showing your personality properly
    • You are bored of apps but not sure what else to do
    • You get anxious before dates and overthink everything afterwards
    • You struggle to spot red flags until you are already invested
    • You keep hearing “you’re amazing” followed by absolutely no meaningful action
    • You do not know how to move things forward without sounding intense

That list is not random. Those are the exact kinds of issues that stop people meeting the right partner, even when they are more than good enough to do so.

What happens when you work with me?

First, we work out what is genuinely causing the problem. Not the story you have been telling yourself, and not the rubbish your mates come out with after one bottle of Rioja and a pep talk. The real problem.

Sometimes your profile is underselling you badly. Sometimes you are choosing familiar chemistry over actual compatibility. Sometimes you are texting too much before meeting. Sometimes you are giving too much away too early. Sometimes you are so worried about being liked that you forget to assess the other person properly.

This is where Dating Coach Guildford support becomes practical, not fluffy.

We can work on confidence, conversation skills, body language, flirting, boundaries, app strategy, first date planning, message follow-ups, and how to stop repeating the same old romantic patterns. We can also look at how you present yourself, what sort of people you are targeting, and whether your expectations are helping you or sabotaging you.

If you have been struggling with app burnout or poor momentum, my article on how to choose a reputable dating coach for women is a useful internal read because it explains what real support should look like, and what warning signs to avoid.

Why working with me gets people unstuck faster

Most people do not need ten more years of trial and error. They need someone to spot the pattern quickly.

That is one of the biggest benefits of coaching with me. I see what is going wrong from the outside, and I tell you honestly. Kindly, yes. But honestly. There is no point me pretending your current approach is fine if it is producing the romantic equivalent of damp toast.

Clients come to me because they want expert guidance, but they stay because the advice works. My site includes testimonials and case studies from clients and brands who describe me as engaging, well prepared, and highly knowledgeable in confidence, conversation, and body language.

I also know the wider dating landscape well, including matchmaking and agency options. So if you are serious about exploring more curated introductions alongside coaching, this guide to Dating Agency Guildford is a strong external resource. It is directly relevant to Guildford singles who are done with endless swiping and want a more intentional route to meeting someone.

What kind of results can you expect?

I am not going to insult your intelligence by promising that one session will have you strolling hand in hand through Guildford Castle grounds by next Tuesday. Real life is a touch more nuanced than that.

What I can say is this. Coaching helps you get clearer, more confident, more attractive in the way you communicate, and far less likely to waste time on the wrong people. It helps you trust your instincts without letting your past run the whole show. It helps you date with purpose rather than drift from one “maybe” to the next.

That is why Dating Coach Guildford searches keep rising in value as more singles realise that vague advice and blind optimism are not a dating strategy.

And yes, I offer Zoom sessions, which means you can work with me whether you are based in Guildford itself, nearby in Surrey, commuting into London, or simply prefer support from home with a decent coffee and fewer parking worries.

    Conclusion

Dating should feel exciting, not like unpaid project management with occasional disappointment thrown in for texture.

If your love life has become repetitive, draining, or weirdly confusing despite all your best efforts, that does not mean you are the problem. It usually means your approach needs sharpening.

Working with Dating Coach Guildford expertise gives you exactly that. Better choices. Better dates. Better communication. Better odds of finding something real.
